I grew up in Louisiana and moved to Arkansas to attend school at Lyon College. From a young age I wanted to be a wildlife artist because my parents showed me the artwork of John James Audubon. Audubon’s ornithological work influenced my decision to double-major in Art and Biology. I have worked with different mediums throughout my career, but my favorites are oil pastel and watercolor. Although my medium has changed through the years, wildlife has been my favorite subject unwaveringly.

I received an Art Scholarship at Lyon College, where I went on to present my work in the annual Juried Student Exhibition in 2017.  And, as part of my Advanced Studio Concepts course, I also exhibited work in the Imago Gallery at Fellowship Bible Church in Batesville. I have been commissioned for four independent murals in Louisiana and have served as president of my campus’ chapter of Kappa Pi Art Honors Society. I plan pursue a degree in veterinary medicine or a doctoral degree in biology. While I am striving for a profession in the field of science,  I will always be an artist.
